One of the great things I've found about having my blog is that I never know what might show up in my mailbox! A few days ago, I received a surprise package from Joe at the excellent Cincy Reds Cards blog.
Joe knocked off a bunch of my 2008 Upper Deck Masterpieces needs, including the last of the common cards that I needed from the set. Joe also threw in a short print of Ryne Sandberg that I didn't have - thanks!
As an aside, I doubt Joe minded parting with the Cubbie - as evidenced by his "love" for the Cubs throughout his blog!
That now completes the "base" set of Masterpieces, now I have to track down the short prints...but I think the Masterpiece short prints will take a backseat to the Topps Heritage and Upper Deck Goudey short prints, both from last year since those sets are being released with a new version this year!
