Delivery Time! Things are Funner when Cards are in my Mailbox!

Julie, from the Things are Funner Here blog, recently sent me a package full of 2011 Topps goodies that I needed.  All I had to send her were Roy Halladay and Jason Werth diamond parallel cards, plus a few other Roy Halladays, a Roy Oswalt, and a stack of assorted Phillies.  In return, I get to knock the following cards off my want list:

2011 Topps:
Base:
13.  Billy Wagner
25.  Carl Crawford
28.  Carlos Carrasco
29.  Josh Hamilton

56.  Johan Santana
61.  David Price
63.  Edinson Volquez
68.  Cleveland Indians
76.  Tom Gorzelanny
144.  Lance Berkman
167.  Clay Hensley
247.  Starlin Castro

257.  Travis Hafner
326.  Ozzie Martinez

My base is now nearly complete, as of the time I'm writing this particular post I only need 18 more base cards - and according to my records, 16 of the 18 should be in the mail headed my way right now!

Diamond Duos:
DD-HM.  Tommy Hanson & Mike Minor
DD-KT.  Harmon Killebrew & Jim Thome

DD-PG.  David Price & Matt Garza

I've said it before, and I'll say it again, the Diamond Duos work well for me when they depict two players from the same team.  I do wonder who decided an insert set would work having Killebrew and Thome on the same card (3280 combined RBIs), and yet at the same time, have Hanson and Minor on the same card (24 combined wins).

Topps Town:
TT-32.  Mike Stanton
TT-50.  Albert Pujols

I'm grateful to acquire another Topps Town card that I needed (the Stanton).  The Pujols is for trade since someone else already sent me one (you can see all my 2011 Topps cards for trade here).  I won't bother scanning these, there are already enough pictures in this post right?

60 Years of Topps:  The Lost Cards:
60YOTLC-1.  Stan Musial

60YOTLC-5.  Stan Musial

The Lost Cards insert set would have been better if Topps had gone with more variety in the players depicted.  Even so, I'm now two cards closer to completing the thing so I'm happy!

60 Years of Topps:
60YOT-13.  Bob Gibson
60YOT-26.  Bruce Sutter

I chose to showcase the Sutter since there was already one Cardinal scanned above.  Unfortunately, that means there are now two scans of Cubs in this blog post - I apologize for that.

Topps 60:
T60-12.  Prince Fielder
T60-24.  Josh Johnson

T60-33.  Johan Santana

If you thought I was going to scan the World's Fattest Vegetarian, you are incorrect.  Instead, you get a scan of Josh Johnson - he who led the National League in ERA in 2010.

Diamond parallels:
119.  Jason Bay
124.  AL Wins Leaders
175.  Brennan Boesch
220.  Todd Helton
326.  Ozzie Martinez

And finally, a group of five more diamond parallels for my set.  Given these five cards, I now have 157 out of the 330 cards in series 1 (as of the time I wrote this post).  Also, Julie nets five entries in my Complete Set (and other goodies) Giveaway Contest happening later this year.

Thanks for all the cards Julie!  And, as always, if anyone else would like to trade, check out my want list and make an offer!
