So no one wanted Sir Walter "the slightly damaged" Raleigh. Alright, fine - let's sweeten the stack with a pair of curmudgeons. The surly Bobby Bonilla (just look at his expression) and the downright obstinate Barry Bonds (who is sticking his tongue out at you in defiance). This is one of the late 80s cards that people probably hoped they could hold on to and eventually sell for their retirement. A leaders card featuring Mantle, Ruth, or one of the stars of yesterday would probably bring a hefty sum in return. A leaders card featuring the all-time home run leader? I'll be lucky to get a single Topps National Chicle card that I need - and that set is probably less popular than the 1988 Topps set!
1988 Topps:
231. Pittsburgh Pirates Leaders - Barry Bonds & Bobby Bonilla
2010 Topps Allen & Ginter:
Sailors of the Seven Seas:
SSS3. Sir Walter Raleigh

Bonilla looks like Bubba from Forrest Gump on that card.
