The Fleer Mystique packs are kind of fun to open - in many ways the remind me of the Cracker Jack set. You open a pack, and then inside that pack, you get to open something else. Oh sure, it's a gimmick that I wouldn't want every set to follow, but it's fun for something different.
1999 Fleer Mystique:
Pack 2:
47. Mo Vaughn - Angels
75. Jose Cruz, Jr. - Blue Jays
76. Juan Encarnacion - Tigers
I like the look of Encarnacion running in this shot...it almost looks like he is running right off the card - the scan really doesn't do the card justice!
And our mystery card is....
97. Travis Lee - Diamondbacks
Uhm, dud card? I thought all the mystery cards were inserts or numbered cards, but apparently not. This particular card is fine and all, but it's nothing more than another base card. I wouldn't have been really happy with the set if this was the only pack of the stuff I had purchased back in the day.

Sure you would've, because you could've sold that Lee for Strasburgian prices (well maybe not that high, but close). The hobby loved him in 1998-99 from what I have been able to tell.
