Group Break 7: Did Someone Say Hit? (Fleer Showcase Edition)

It's a good day - we found our third hit of the break!  This time, I'm busting another pair of packs from the Fleer Showcase box...these are the first two of the Jersey edition packs - and so far, I must say, they seem a lot better than the Lumber edition packs that we opened first!

2003 Fleer Showcase:
Packs 9 & 10 (Jersey Edition):

71.  Adam Kennedy - Angels
79.  Mike Sweeney - Royals
83.  Pat Burrell - Phillies
93.  Austin Kearns - Reds
94.  Luis Gonzalez - Diamondbacks
99.  Reggie Jackson - Yankees

101.  Eddie Mathews - Braves

102.  Willie McCovey - Giants

SS-BB.  Sweet Stitches:  Barry Bonds - Giants (#ed 400/899)

Wow, that's the first Bonds relic that I've ever pulled!  Seeing how he is the cover boy for this edition of Fleer Showcase, that's a really, really good card to get!  You can even see where the stitches were in the fabric if you look closely (it might be hard to see in the scan, but in person you can see 'em, trust me)!

The back of the card is pretty nice too.  You can see the numbering at the bottom right above the card number.  I like that the numbering is in silver foil rather than blank ink like Topps has been known to do (especially lately).  Congrats to LifetimeTopps who decided to claim the Giants on a whim!

NICE! I'm on a roll - got this Bonds card in the break, and (shameless blog plug) check out my post going up ~6:30 tonight for the pull I got from my Goodwin Champions...
