Group Break 7: Topps Goes For Ultra Realistic Reprints (Archives Packs 8 & 9)

It's time for another two packs of Topps Archives.  With these two packs (actually, just one of the two packs), Topps must have decided to make the reprints really look like the originals - creased and or scratched.  That's right, a couple of the cards came out of the pack pretty beat up (as you'll see since I scanned the worst in terms of condition).  For how expensive one of these boxes is, that's really unacceptable to me.

2001 Topps Archives:
Packs 8 & 9:

301.  Jack Clark - Giants
288.  Al Hrabosky - Cardinals

This is one of the damaged cards - look at the terrible scratch mark running through the middle of the card.
302.  Mark Fidrych - Tigers

This is the other damaged card, there is what appears to be a crease along the top side of the card that runs right through the middle of Fidrych's face.
418.  Robin Yount - Brewers
337.  Duke Snider - Mets
350.  Tony Conigliaro - Angels
329.  George Kell - Orioles
408.  Fred Lynn - Padres
320.  Carl Furillo - Dodgers
248.  Don Newcombe - Dodgers
267.  Rico Carty - Braves
425.  Orel Hershiser - Dodgers
405.  Bucky Dent - Rangers
404.  Gil Hodges - Mets
395.  Maury Wills - Dodgers
If you are counting, that's now four Dodgers in the two packs...here they are in case you don't believe my counting abilities are up to par.

409.  Rick Reuschel - Giants

Finally, I realized that I haven't provided my typical Group Break Update in its entirety so far - let's fix that too.  Here's a quick scan of the spreadsheet that I keep by hand while busting the packs!  I'm hopeful that everyone is having a good time with the break.  So far, we've been pretty lucky in that the hits have been scattered about amongst different teams.  Of course, there are still a bunch more hits to come (should be at least six more)!
