Group Break: 2000 Fleer Gamers - Packs 5, 6, 7, and 8

With five boxes in the group break, I'll never get through this thing if I only do two packs per post!  Thus, let's try four packs from the Fleer Gamers box.

Pack 5:
7.  Chris Singleton - White Sox
42.  Damion Easley - Tigers
46.  Sean Casey - Reds
110.  Vernon Wells - Blue Jays

The Wells card is part of the Next Gamers subset (seeded 1:4) and thus delivers the Blue Jays their third pack win of the break thus far.

Pack 6:
5.  Nomar Garciaparra - Red Sox
11.  Sammy Sosa - Cubs
69.  Shawn Green - Dodgers
3 of 15 C.  Cal to Greatness:  Cal Ripken Jr. - Orioles

The Cal to Greatness card (despite the corny name) is pretty nice...and a big reason why the Orioles were slightly more expensive than most of the other teams in the break - Fleer loved Cal back in the late 90s/early 00s.  The Cal to Greatness cards are seeded 1:12 if the card number is 1 to 5 (which this one is).  There are other much, much rarer cards including card numbers 11 to 15 which are seeded 1:180 packs.  Good luck completing that set!!  PS:  Orioles win the pack, but you knew that.

 Pack 7:
36.  Bobby Abreu - Phillies
39.  Preston Wilson - Marlins
43.  Mike Cameron - Mariners
51.  Jose Vidro - Nationals

Not a whole lot to write home about there.  I'll give the pack win to the Mariners I guess since the Cameron card is my favorite out of the four cards in the pack... Even so, there's nothing good enough to bother scanning in that group.

Pack 8:
28.  Craig Biggio  - Astros
56.  Richie Sexson - Indians
64.  Carlos Febles - Royals

87.  Rafael Palmeiro - Rangers

I'll give the pack to the Astros since the Biggio is a nice card (and he has a chance at being in the Hall of Fame - I don't expect Palmeiro does).
