Anyone Interested in a Card Draft?

I'm curious if anyone would be interested in a card draft.  As many of you probably know, I'm trying to raise enough funds to buy a case of Allen & Ginter this summer (which is why I haven't bought a single pack of 2012 cards yet this year)!  Although I've done most of my fund raising via eBay, I thought it might be fun to host a quick card draft.  However, I don't know if this is a good idea - or a fair price - and so that's where your feedback comes in!  I do have a variety of interesting things to include in a draft, so here's what I'm thinking - your feedback (good or bad) is appreciated - official sign-ups won't happen until I'm sure there is enough interest.  I would need exactly 10 participants to make this run.

Cost:  $20.00 + $5.00 to cover shipping & supplies = $25.00.

Note:  Actual round numbers subject to change!

Round 1:  Autograph cards
Round 2:  Relic cards
Round 3:  Sticker cards (not the new 2012 or 2011 Topps stickers - but other sticker cards like Lineage or Upper Deck Collector's Choice)
Round 4:  SportsClix figures
Round 5:  SportsClix figures
Round 6:  SportsClix figures
Round 7:  Diamond parallels (2011 Topps)
Round 8:  Topps Lineage parallels
Round 9:  Other insert cards
Round 10:  Assorted cards
Note:  I'd probably add in a few more rounds of assorted cards - I'd have to see how many (and what kind of variety) I could offer.

Thus, for essentially the price of a blaster plus tax, you'd get at least one autograph, one relic, three SportsClix figures, and a bunch of other cards (including stickers, inserts, and other cards).  Most of the rounds will have more than 10 cards in them so that no one will ever be "stuck" with the last remaining choice.

Let me know what you think - I have a decent variety of teams to include in the various rounds.  I will be sure to include at least one retired player in the autograph round and at least one retired player in the relic round.  Here's a sampling of cards that I would include:
The Cano relic is numbered out of 199.  As you can see, I have plenty of "good players" to offer - though I wouldn't expect to see any Cal Ripken Jr. autographs or anything.

Again, it's just an idea - I figured this would be more fun than selling on eBay (mostly because I HATE doing product descriptions ready for eBay)!  Any and all feedback is encouraged!

  1. I would be interested if the variety is good. Less of the Sportsclix figures too
