This One's For Night Owl (or rather, Because of Night Owl)

A couple of days ago, Night Owl issued some disparaging remarks about the 1991 Donruss set.  I believe he referred to it as the Fisher Price set.

Well, I can't sit idly by when one of my favorite sets of the "junk wax era" is ridiculed - and so, as I promised on his post, I resolve to actively trade for and collect the entire set.  Sure, I have a decent sized pile already (don't we all?) but I still need plenty more.

That's right Night Owl.  Not only is 1991 Donruss not to be thrown out, there's someone who actually wants it.  Well - I only want those cards that I don't already own, no need to go overboard with the set, now is there?

Here are the cards I still need:

  1. Heh, I recently sent a gigantic pile of this stuff to The Dimwit as a joke. I'll see what I can do.

  2. I'll get you riled up even more by saying I've always disliked that Larkin Diamond King card. It's brutal.

I cannot WAIT to send you '91 Donruss. It's one of my least favorite sets ever as you can probably tell.

I don't think 91 Donruss is all bad, either. It's better than some of their other attempts.

But Greg is right - that Larkin card is horrid. Has it been in the larkin contest? I would use my vote in that round just to vote AGAINST it instead of for another card!!!

  4. I'll check your list later on after Night Owl and dayf polish off most of it !

  5. 230 of these will be on your way to you. It'll just take some time to remove them from my collection. It's kind of like digging out weeds.
