2013 Group Break #2: Topps Tribute Pack #2

Yesterday, I revealed the contents of the first pack out of the 2013 Topps Tribute Group Break box.  Today, let's take a peek at pack number two.

Pack 2:
10.  Sandy Koufax - Dodgers

What a gorgeous card!  When I opened the pack I was awestruck by this beauty and my thoughts haven't changed since then!

11.  David Freese - Cardinals

I'm not a fan of Freese but I'm guessing that Slightly Disappointing is happy to land a base card of his claimed team.

57.  Andrew McCutchen - Pirates & 93.  Manny Machado - Orioles

The McCutchen is another nice card - for some reason I really like the faded catcher's glove in the photo.  A Machado rookie is probably a good card to have - especially from a high end product like Tribute.

TTSR-JHE.  Relic:  Jason Heyward - Braves #21/25

I have no idea how to tell what sort of parallel version this is - it's gold colored if that helps.  If it is a gold parallel, then I believe this is a card seeded 1:60 packs - not bad considering each pack is about 50 bucks a piece!

Two packs down, four to go.  By my count, six of the fifteen slots have at least one card as of right now (in terms of the packs shown on the blog).  Of course, I've already opened all six packs so I know exactly what everyone will end up with.  Even so, I think the slow reveal is more fun for most people!

  1. I know I'm enjoying the slow reveal. Very nice looking cards so far. That relic configuration is surprisingly unobtrusive for a vertical card.
According to my checklists, the #/25 may be called Orange but who knows if that's standard across all variations and players and hit types. Should be but doesn't mean it is.
