Today was a good day for the group break as we managed to crack open the sixth box this morning (Dominion), grab a few packs of Tradition around midday, and now we return to open a few more packs out of the Topps Gold Label box. It's hard to argue with shiny!
Pack 4:
14. John Olerud - Mariners
20. Alex Gonzalez - Marlins
34. Pedro Martinez - Red Sox
37. Tim Hudson - Athletics
80. Cal Ripken Jr. - Orioles
The Cal Ripken Jr. card is a nice looking card - I'm sure Justing G. will be happy with that one.
Pack 5:
25. Mark McGwire - Cardinals
36. Mo Vaughn - Angels
65. Raul Mondesi - Blue Jays
70. Larry Walker - Rockies
89. Kevin Millwood - Braves
The Cardinals have started off a little slow (by my count they have only three base cards now - but they do have a pair of insert/short prints to go with those). I'm guessing the McGwire makes up for some of that slow start in the eyes of madding, that's a nice lookin' card (as are almost all of the Gold Label cards to be honest)!
