I'm thinking today is the day that we finally finish the scans for all six of the group break boxes! Let's jump right in.
Box 6:
Pack 6:
The Gordon Beckham base card is a nice one that I had actually overlooked consistently until I sat down to write this post. It's funny what you can miss on a first run through (or a second, third, and fourth run through as the case may be). This is a solid card for the Angels (and thus Matthew Scott since he claimed the Angels)!
The sixth pack included a pair of parallels - one was a rainbow foil of Buster Posey (Giants) while the other was the gold parallel of the Cubs team card seen above. The Cubs card is numbered 0682/2015.
Pack 7:
Pack 7 had exactly one card of note - but it's a biggie for the Rockies...
That's a nice Troy Tulowitzki relic for Colorado (and, thus, for Play at the Plate since he claimed the Rockies)! I love the fact that the color swatch is something other than white or grey...it makes the card pop a lot more than it would have otherwise.
Pack 8:
Our final pack for this post also featured a pair of parallels - each of which was quite nice. We had a rainbow foil parallel of George Springer (Astros) and the big hit - this pink parallel of Michel Pineda of the Yankees. The pink parallel is numbered 46/50 - so a big 'ol congratulations goes out to Tim B.!
The eighth pack also held a third card of note - a buyback card of Moose Haas.
This is a 1978 Topps card that is headed to the Brewers stack - and soon to Tony L.'s home.
One more post and then the group break will be complete! Stay tuned for our final hit of the break...
