Delivery Time! 2 by 3 Heroes Sends Cards (what else would you expect?)

I recently completed another trade with Jeff from 2 by 3 Heroes.  Jeff and I have sent many packages back and forth over the years - 28 by my count!  This particular trade was a simple one, at least from my end.  I'm still working on the 2015 Archives base set (you can find all my set needs here).  Jeff had a bunch of duplicates so he dropped a big ol' stack on me.

Now, I know most of you are sick of seeing scans of this year's Archives set so I'll only show off one card here.  And it's a Diamondback.  No one scans Diamondbacks.

There you go.

In addition to the Archives, Jeff also threw in a few assorted Reds' goodies including one of those nifty foil parallels from this year's Opening Day set.

That's Billy Hamilton - a player who could be spectacular if he could only get on base at even a league average clip.  For a guy who is so fast, it's incredibly frustrating watching how bad he is at simple things like bunting the ball.  Seriously, if he could put down any sort of decent bunt with regularity he could easily be a .250 or .260 hitter with 120 stolen bases.

And if you think that 120 number is a bit high, consider this.  He stole third base against the Marlins when the fish's catcher threw the ball back to the pitcher a bit lackadaisically!

That's fast.

Jeff dropped another player on me who wasn't a stranger to stolen bases - my man Barry Larkin.

I love getting new Barry Larkin cards in the mail - and I've been doing a decent job of consistently adding to my online Barry Larkin Collection lately as well.  Win win for me!

Finally, we end with this serially numbered "gem."

That's a Jeff Shaw, but the player isn't all that important.  What is important is that the card is numbered 5931 out of 9799.

That's right.  Almost (but not quite) 9800 copies of this card are available out there...was there any point of actually numbering the darn things?

I don't think so - but it made me laugh which is the hallmark of any good trade package!  Thanks a lot Jeff - and for anyone else, if you'd like to trade be sure to check out my want list and shoot me a message!  After that, I would invite you to check out Bubba's Bangin' Batch of Baseball Bits for a Ginter themed contest...just in time for Ginter 2015!
