Group Break: 2017 Topps Archives - Box #1: Packs 7 - 9

Summer has finally arrived here in northcentral Pennsylvania.  After many weeks of clouds and rain, we finally have some warmer temperatures (and more importantly, some sunshine).  I spent a good part of yesterday working on my vegetable gardens...and I spent even more time outside today.  All that said, I haven't forgotten the group break - so let's get right back into it and discover the contents of the next batch of packs.

Box 1:
Packs 7 - 9:

Pack 7:
21.  Jose Ramirez - Indians
53.  Freddie Freeman - Braves

77.  Nomar Mazara - Rangers
164.  Larry Doby - Indians
181.  Eddie Murray - Orioles
226.  Hanley Ramirez - Red Sox
233.  A.J. Pollock - Diamondbacks
263.  Roberto Osuna - Blue Jays

Admittedly, not the most exciting pack of the box.  No inserts or anything else of note - though the Freddie Freeman card is quite nice.

Pack 8:
14.  Marcell Ozuna - Marlins
28.  Evan Longoria - Rays
87.  Dellin Betances - Yankees
166.  Zach Britton - Orioles
199.  Carlos Santana - Indians
284.  Jake Arrieta - Cubs

288.  Matt Strahm - Royals
Retro Original:  RO-17.  Max Scherzer - Nationals

That Arrieta card looks exactly like a 1992 Topps card would have looked.  Kudos to Topps.    Speaking of kudos, congrats go out to daddyohoho who landed the nice Scherzer insert in the pack.

Pack 9:
5.  Tony Perez - Reds
38.  Luis Aparicio - White Sox
135.  Sonny Gray - Athletics
165.  Wade Davis - Royals
170.  Nelson Cruz - Mariners
215.  Tyler Austin - Yankees
265.  Randy Johnson - Expos

Peach parallel:  25.  David Dahl - Rockes (# 015/199)

A big congrats goes out to Adam K. who scored a nice peach parallel for his Rockies.  The peach parallels are seeded 1:14 packs, so that's a nice little score for the Rockies.

I'll have more from the group break soon!
