Yeah, that's one of my all-time favorite jokes which probably tells you more about my sense of humor than anything else.  The mini Collectible Canine card was also one of the few highlights from my fifth blaster of 2019 Allen & Ginter.

In previous blaster posts, I've gone pack-by-pack with a breakdown but this time around I ripped through the entire blaster in a hurry - so rather than going one pack at a time, let's just look at the big picture.

Besides the little doggie card shown above, I also landed one other mini insert:

That's the Tiger Cub from the retail only New to the Zoo mini set.  Luckily for me, that was one that I needed so in total from my five blasters I ended up with four different New to the Zoo critters plus a duplicate of the penguin.

The rest of the blaster was fairly lackluster if I'm being honest.  I did get two of the Mares & Stallions cards but only one of the History of Flight cards which was a different ratio than the previous four blasters.

My other six minis were also rather lackluster - three regular minis and three A&G back mini (though one of the A&G backs was a short-printed Alex Rodriguez so that's something).

Overall, I think I'm finally done buying blasters.  I'll wait for my hobby boxes to get here - rip them open, collate all my cards, and then see where I'm at.  I know for sure that I'll need lots of help with the minis but I'm guessing I'll also need help with some of the other full-sized inserts.  In addition, I'll surely have plenty of trade bait so set some cards aside for me and hopefully we can make some deals soon!

EDIT:  While it will take all of next week to show off all the cards from my hobby boxes, I've updated my want list already!  Go here to check it out.

  3. Nice one. Whenever I see "quarter horse", I'm reminded of an old Mad Magazine bit where they had funny pictures of different horse breeds. The quarter horse was nothing but a head, shoulders, and front legs down to the knees. (a quarter of a horse).
