This is the second Barry Larkin card that I own from the incredibly large 2002 Upper Deck 40-Man set. I already discussed the set itself in some detail here, so for today's post let's simply look at the design of the featured card.
Unfortunately, there isn't a lot good to say here. Much like the regular base cards, Upper Deck took an image and used it twice, once on the front and then again on the back. The Hitmakers logo is too large (and boring) and basically the entire card looks to be way too gray for my tastes. Clearly, the Upper Deck 40-Man set was not made for me as I haven't been impressed with either of Larkin's base cards from the set!
