A TCDB Surprise Card from mpdillard25!

UD Past Time Pennants Countdown: Now We Are Getting to the Good Stuff!

November is UD Past Time Pennants month, at least it is for this blog!  We now move the countdown of the best 90 cards in the set into the sixties...

#69:  Willie McCovey

A classic home run shot, or else maybe a pop up to the third baseman in foul territory.  Really, you can't quite tell...

#68:  Dave Parker

When I first started making the list, I thought the "screaming Parker" card would end up a lot higher up...alas, as I sorted the cards he kept falling down, down, down until eventually sticking at the #68 spot.  I think if this were another day Parker might be ranked a bit higher but I doubt he'd crack the top two-thirds.  That's how good this set is!

#67:  Billy Williams

I love this card for the 'ol Cubs' bear cub on the sleeve of Williams.  I also love how Williams is batting sans batting gloves.  I don't love the super blurry background though...and the framing seems a bit off, why chop Williams' legs and still have a photo that makes him appear far away?  It's little things like that that will keep a card from reaching the top 65 (or better).

Have you figured out my Top 10 for the set yet?  Every reveal eliminates three more cards for you to choose from.  As a hint, there are eight different teams represented in the Top 10 (one of which is the Reds which is probably no surprise to any of you)!
