2015 Topps Jumbo Case Group Break: Box #4: Pack-by-Pack (Packs 4 - 7)

It's time to keep plowing through box #4 of our 6 jumbo boxes in our 2015 Topps Series 1 group break.  I hope everyone is having fun so far - plenty more goodies to go including a rare hit out this box.  Let's see what the middle chunk of the box has in store for us, shall we?

Box 4:
Pack 4:

Pack 4 started strong with seven inserts including the Clay Buchholz gold parallel for the Red Sox (#0623/2015).  A big congrats to Metalattorney for landing the gold parallel.

The big hit of the pack in my eyes though goes to Matthew Scott and the Angels:

That's one of the gorgeous Gallery of Greats cards - this time it's Albert Pujols getting some action.  Good stuff here - and a great shot of a guy who I was happy to see leave St. Louis (and the NL Central division).

Pack 5:

I enjoy the Jose Iglesias (Tigers) base card quite a bit.  I think it's the giant Athletic's logo on the outfield wall that makes this card memorable.

Speaking of memorable, pack 5 held six inserts including a Derek Jeter (Yankees) Achetypes card.  However, in my view the best of the inserts was an easy choice:

Yeah, another Gallery of Greats - and it's of one of my favorite players of all time!  A big congratulations to Junior Junkie who claimed the Mariners - I know you'll love this one!

Pack 6:

Pack 6 held six inserts including two parallels.  One parallel was of Gio Gonzalez (Nationals) and was of the rainbow foil variety (not scanned).  The other was a gold parallel of Trout, Cabrera, and Cruz and is numbered 1251/2015.

This card will be randomed off among the three featured teams (Angels, Tigers, Orioles) at the end of the break.

Pack 7:

That leads us to our final pack of this post - and with it comes our first hit of the box!

That's a Future Stars pin card of Dellin Betances of the New York Yankees.  The Yanks were claimed by Tim B. so hopefully he enjoys this thick (!) hit card.  The Future Stars pin cards are somewhat rare seeing as they are seeded 1:44 packs.

That's it for the middle chunk of box #4.  If you are playing along, that means we have two remaining hits for the final third (including a very rare hit)!  Stay tuned for more!

  1. Yay!!! That Gallery of Greats insert looks fantastic in person. Love that super-black, super-matte paper.
