2015 Topps Allen & Ginter: Box 2 - Packs 21 - 24 (Finishing the Box with Another Hit!)

Let's finish off box #2 tonight, shall we?!

Box 2:
Packs 21 - 24:

The final four packs produced three more cards numbered 301 and up including the best base card of the bunch:  The fall of the Berlin Wall.

The minis included a pair of regular backs and an A&G back - but the real highlight was my first Mythological Menaces card.

That's Eris, the instigator of the Trojan War - the Greek god of Chaos and Strife.  Somehow, there is still one more of the "common" mini inserts that I've yet to find through two full boxes of Ginter - Magnates, Braons, & Tycoons.  There are also a pair of rare mini inserts (Healthy Bodies and Healthy Minds) that haven't yet made an appearance as well.  In other words, I'm still hoping to do a lot of trading for ANY EXTRA MINI INSERTS you might have!

I didn't scan it (because I forgot it) but I did pull another one of the 10th Anniversary regular sized cards:  Jamie Moyer from 2009.

Our regular-sized inserts include our second Menagerie of the Mind of the box.

The Elf photo sort of creeps me out for reasons that I can't quite pinpoint.  I don't think I'll be staring at that card very often.

Another thing that I wouldn't want to stare at is the War Hammer - my final Ancient Armory insert card of the box.

The War Hammer was useful to knock the enemy off his horse...and the spike on the other end?  Well, that had its purposes as well.

Finally, we get to the third hit.  This actually fell out of the final pack that I opened - and it is a framed relic of Cole Hamels.

Not bad - and the purple frames are actually quite nice!

That does it for box #2.  Obviously, the big draw of the box was the wooden mini...and I do wish I had saved this box for Gint-a-Cuffs but who would have guess that the second box would be so stacked with goodies?

Still a bunch more boxes to go...really, I'm just getting started!  Thanks for reading along!

  2. Agreed on the Hamels. And that Elf card is freaky!
