Group Break: The Last of the No Logo Cards! (Panini Cooperstown volume IV)

We made it to the final two packs of unlicensed products in the group break!  Here are the final pair of 2012 Panini Cooperstown packs.

Pack 7:

Lou Boudreau - Indians
Pie Traynor - Pirates
Catfish Hunter - Athletics
Andre Dawson - Cubs
Bronze History:  72.  Branch Rickey - Dodgers #367/599

I'm awarding the Branch Rickey serially numbered card to the Dodgers since Rickey is probably most well known for signing Jackie Robinson to a Major League deal.  I think getting a serially numbered card was a nice surprise from the blaster!

Pack 8:

Bill Mazeroski - Pirates
Harry Hooper - Red Sox
Lou Brock - Cardinals
Duke Snider - Dodgers
Hit Club:  11.  Tony Gwynn - Padres

And the last packs gives us a nice Tony Gwynn bat photo...

Ok, so that's kind of weird since we don't actually get any image of Gwynn himself but hey, it is a rather unique insert so that's something.

Thus endeth the Panini portion of the break.  Next up, probably the Topps Chrome blaster (or else the Chipz packs...or maybe the 2014 Stadium Club box).  I'll save the 2015 Tek box for last!

Oh, if you'd like the video for this blaster, here you go:

  1. You would expect teams like the Mariners, Blue Jays, Marlins, D-backs and the like to get stoned in the Cooperstown blaster (even though the Blue Jays did pull a card), but my White Sox got a big nothing. Phillies and the Braves too. Surprising three old clubs got shut out.
