The release of the 2022 Topps Allen & Ginter set is finally nearly upon us. From what I can tell, the (new) official release date is November 18 after a number of delays from its original release date of early September.
As you probably could guess, I am excited about this year's Ginter set since that's my favorite brand most years. So excited, in fact, that I recently scoured Sportlots for a few Barry Larkin Allen & Ginter cards from previous years that I needed. As luck would have it, I did find one seller with a pair of Larkin mini cards that I was missing.
The first is this Topps Allen & Ginter Chrome mini from 2020.
I don't quite understand why Topps felt that Ginter needed a Chrome version but no from the company asked me for my opinion. While the set itself isn't for me, I do feel compelled to track down the Larkin cards so here we are!
The second card I was able to procure was this black border mini from last year's Ginter set.
Not a lot to say about this one but I do like the card.
A nice little mail day today - two mini Larkin needs that I can now check off the ol' want list. Now it's back to waiting for this year's edition of Allen & Ginter to be released!

Not the biggest fan of Topps creating a bunch of Chrome products... but I'm guessing the refractor parallel of that Larkin is pretty sweet.
