A Sportlots Box Showed Up (Part 1)

Back in November, I finally pulled the trigger and ordered my "box shipment" from Sportlots.  I didn't have a ton of cards in the shipment (only 17 cards but they were spread across ten different sellers).  Now that the year 2023 is almost over, I need to show off the cards I ordered so that I can count any completed sets as successes for this year!

We'll start with this 2011 Topps Gypsy Queen courtesy of seller mdm92278.  The 2011 Gypsy Queen set is a set full of short prints that I'm still working on over a decade later.

Spoiler alert:  This won't be the final time you see this particular set today!

Next up, a pair of cards from seller cttcdork:

Yep, two dirty Cardinals but I needed both to help me inch within a single card of finally finishing off my 2000 Pacific base set!

Next, another 2011 Gypsy Queen card plus an "oddball" Barry Larkin card from user Berk0523:

The pennant card is from the 2013 Panini Cooperstown set.  I had never seen one of those pennants before prior to seeing Berk0523 have one available for sale.  Obviously, I had to purchase it!

The fourth envelope came from seller Lattacar and it held two more new-to-me Barry Larkin cards:

The Ginter is a Gold parallel while the Donruss is a Holo Red parallel.

We'll end the first half of the Sportlots box with a 2023 Topps All Aces insert from seller theyohos.

That'll do for today's post.  As you can see, I picked away at a bunch of different sets plus I was able to grab a few new-to-me Larkin cards for my collection.  I'm going to do my best to get the other half of the Sportlots packages scanned and written about prior to the New Year so look for that soon!

  1. I've bought a few things from Lattacar over the years. They seem to be fairly reliable when it comes to accurately describing the condition of their cards.
