2025 Topps Allen & Ginter: Box 9 (the One with Maybe my Best Pull of the Year)!

I thought I was done buying this year's Allen & Ginter, but I ended up having an amazing bunch of boxes from my initial purchase - and with the proceeds from some eBay sales, I was able to grab four more hobby boxes.  Now, I promise I'm done buying boxes for the year, but as you'll see in a moment, I don't regret buying the four new boxes one bit!

Box 9:

Minis:

As usual, I like to start by showing off the minis.  I am planning on collecting all of the various mini insert sets, which is a big reason why I splurged on some more boxes.  That being said, it's not really an efficient way to acquire minis (especially with an average box containing only five mini inserts)!  Hopefully, by the time you read this post, I'll have my want list updated with what I still need for each of the mini sets.

Full Size:

We'll start with the lone serially-numbered card from this box - an Orange Foil Filagree card of Dick Allen, #03/25.

I will not be collecting the various Foil Filagree cards this year, so getting a rather rare one is great for my wallet - hopefully, I can sell this one on eBay to help recoup a bit of the cost of the box.

The Hits:

Each 2025 Topps Allen & Ginter hobby box promises two hits.  My first hit was a framed relic of Jimmy Rollins:

I do enjoy the framed relics, and I'm glad to see that Topps has made them much more common this year than in recent years.  According to Beckett, this year's Framed Relic checklist has 152 cards on it, so while it is easier to find a Framed Relic, good luck finding the particular relic that you are looking for!

Finally, the monster hit of the box - and quite possibly one of the best cards I've ever pulled out of Allen & Ginter from any year:

That's a gorgeous, on-card autograph of Barry Bonds!  Even better for me, the prices that this card is going for will hopefully cover a lot (most?) of my box expense for the final four boxes that I bought.  This card is already up on eBay, as are plenty of other cards that I've pulled from this year's set, including the Dick Allen #/25 from above!

Overall, I had a monster year of ripping A&G (and I still have three more boxes to show off).  Between the Reggie Jackson red auto #/10, the Buster Posey red auto #/10, and now the Barry Bonds auto, everything else is simply icing on top of the cake!

  4. Yeah, I'd immediately put that on ebay, mostly because that definitely doesn't work in my collection.
