December (and the two weeks of vacation that come with it) has come and gone, and now we are facing the dreariest months of the year. January and February, at least in northcentral Pennsylvania, can best be summed up by the words "cold and gray." While I won't be doing much outside (other than constantly shoveling my driveway), I do have the luxury of playing board games on my computer inside! On that note, December was a successful month that saw me play 65 games (and win 31 of those).
In terms of new-to-me games, I only tried one totally new game: Matchstick Tycoon.
This was a dumb game, and not one that I'll probably return to anytime soon. I won my lone play, but there wasn't anything about this game that I found compelling, or honestly, even fun.
That's it for December and online board game playing. My brothers and sister both came home for at least a day or two at some point over the holiday break, so more of my gaming was spent in person as opposed to online for the month. Of course, that's my preferred way to play with people, but alas, I don't have a large gaming group, so I am thankful that a site like Board Game Arena exists (after all, how else would I get to play a game like Azul 15 times in a single month)?!
