Photo Blogging: PNC Park - Cardinals vs. Pirates

I spent most of last week in Pittsburgh - and you can't go to Pittsburgh and not make time to visit beautiful PNC Park.

I decided to go to the Tuesday night Pirates game against the St. Louis Cardinals. At the time, my Reds were 2 games behind the Cardinals, so a Reds win coupled with a Cardinals loss would mean good things for the Reds!

First inning, already 1-0 Cardinals thanks to an Albert Pujols homerun. At this point, I thought the Pirates had possibly already lost. Oh how wrong I was!

Ryan Ludwick on base - shortly afterwards Ludwick ended up having to leave the game after hurting himself in the outfield.

Nice view of the city from my seat. In fact, I don't think there is a bad view anywereh in the ballpark!

Not exactly difficult to find good seats in Pittsburgh... The lady standing there is a worker - but she wouldn't let ANYone move down...even in the later innings - despite the fact that they only sold one ticket to the entire block of seats.

The one lady that was sitting there left for food, giving me a perfect view of the out of town scoreboard.

Back to the game, it's now 7-1 Pittsburgh!

Pujols in the field.

Pujols watching another Pittsburgh hit head into the outfield.

Near the end of the game...

The PNC Park concourse on the way out... And after the evening was over and the Pirates won 7-1, the Reds were only a game back. Too bad they proceeded to get swept by the Padres later in the weekend...

Overall, I love going to PNC Park. Great views, lots of good food, and most of all, good prices!

  1. It's really a shame they don't draw fans to that beautiful park.

  2. As a person who's been there many times it's an amazing place to watch a game. The food is really good and everything is cheap (for big league prices) maybe some day the home team will be worth watching.
