A Friday Three Pack

The group break has been quite a bit of fun for me so far (the pack opening is usually fun - it's the packing up of the cards that typically stinks)!  I don't have to worry about that aspect quite yet - there's plenty of packs waiting to be ripped!

2004 Upper Deck Play Ball:
Pack 7:

5.  Yogi Berra - Yankees
60.  Mark Mulder - Athletics
85.  Rafael Palmeiro - Orioles

101.  Luis Matos - Orioles
105.  Jody Gerut - Indians

I enjoy getting the old time players - most of the new players I can do without.  That said, the pack win still has to go to the Orioles since Palmeiro was a decent player I guess.

Pack 8:
27.  Carlos Delgado - Blue Jays
51.  Edgar Renteria - Cardinals
93.  Dmitri Young - Tigers
111.  Melvin Mora - Orioles
122.  Torii Hunter - Twins

The Hunter card appears to be a parallel since it has a blue border (no other card pulled so far has a blue border).   That's enough to give this pack to the Twins!

The two packs were fun - but it's Friday so why not celebrate a bit.  Here's a third pack before we get back to work.

Pack 9:
19.  Shawn Green - Dodgers
56.  Garret Anderson - Angels
68.  Albert Pujols - Cardinals

112.  Bernie Williams - Yankees
140.  Rookie Portfolio:  Greg Dobbs - Mariners #0592/2004

The Dobbs card is a numbered as part of the regular base set despite being serially numbered.  I hate when card companies do that!  Even so, the card itself is kind of neat - and it certainly sticks out as being "special" when compared to the regular base cards (such as the Pujols).  An easy pack win for the Mariners but you didn't need me to tell you that.
