2000 Stadium Club Chrome: Who Gets the Refractor? Who Gets the Box Hit?!

Good morning!  I think today is a great to finish off the first of the five group break boxes (2000 Topps Stadium Club Chrome).  Once the Stadium Club Chrome box is completed, I can start busting the "regular" Stadium Club box from 2001 (and we still have the Topps Gallery box unopened as well).  Lots of good stuff in the break to look forward to!

For now though, it's 2000 Topps Stadium Club Chrome time.  There are four packs remaining in the box - here's half of them this morning.  I hope to get the other half opened before the day is over!

Pack 21:
7.  Jose Offerman - Red Sox
69.  Gabe Kapler - Rangers

Best non-parallel of the pack.  I love the cloud of dust at the bottom of the card (it doesn't look as good in the scan but I promise this is a good lookin' card)!
152.  Jason Giambi - Athletics
177.  Adrian Beltre - Dodgers
81.  Refractor:  Jeff Cirillo - Rockies

A very nice refractor card for Cards from the Quarry!  The Stadium Club Chrome Refractors really "pop" when held in hand...good stuff in this pack!

Pack 22:
4.  Jeromy Burnitz - Brewers
29.  Todd Zeile - Mets
140.  Larry Walker - Rockies
148.  Luis Gonzalez - Diamondbacks
CS4.  Clear Shots:  Chipper Jones - Braves

The Clear Shots insert cards are seeded 1:24 (one per box) making this a true box hit for Junior Junkie!  Congrats JJ - and this is a great looking card printed on clear plastic (much like Topps TEK actually).  Even better than the front of the card though is the back...

...now that's cool stuff!  I don't even really like Chipper Jones and I wish I owned this card - it's a thing of beauty!

Well, that was a fun way to start up a Tuesday wasn't it?  Only two packs remain in the box - they can't possibly beat these two packs, can they?  I guess we'll have to wait to find out!

  5. Printing that Clear Shots must have been a nightmare, lining it up and all. I wonder how many got tossed for being miscentered?
