Which Two Teams Still Have NO Cards in the Group Break? (More '00 Stadium Club Chrome)

Since I have a box of Stadium Club and a box of Stadium Club Chrome in this break, I figured I ought to work my way through the Stadium Club Chrome box before I open up the Stadium Club box (even though they are from different years).  I know that the chrome cards don't always scan the best - and that it can be difficult to even tell a card is chrome sometimes so hopefully this will reduce confusion!

Here are pack #5 and 6 from the box of 2000 Stadium Club Chrome.

Pack 05:
2.  Brian Jordan - Braves

I'm sure the Junior Junkie will appreciate the guy sitting on the garden tractor in the background behind the outfield wall.
14.  Kevin Young - Pirates
60.  Robin Ventura - Mets
81.  Jeff Cirillo - Rockies
169.  Barry Bonds - Giants

I don't make a habit of scanning many Barry Bonds cards these days - but this one is too nice to ignore!

Pack 06:
75.  David Cone - Yankees
196.  John Flaherty - Rays
216.  Rob Ryan - Diamondbacks
245.  Jay Gehrke - Royals
TC7.  True Colors:  Mike Piazza - Mets

The True Colors inserts are seeded 1:32 packs which means this is rarer than a box hit!  That's a nice score for Stubby who claimed the Mets this time around in the group break.  Congrats!

At this point in the break, it's time to take stock of where we are.  So far, we've opened a total of twelve packs and already every single team (except for the Brewers and Diamondbacks) have at least one card.  Right now, the Giants and Athletics lead with five base cards while the Blue Jays lead with two serially numbered cards.  We've also found five inserts which have been spread across five different teams.  All things considered, so far it's pretty even for most teams - which hopefully means everyone is happy in the early going.  Don't worry though, there's still plenty more to go - including two more boxes that I haven't even cracked open yet!

  1. It's a good thing I swapped out the Diamondbacks for the Brewers or else I would have been left with no cards for my third team.

    Hey...wait a minute!

  2. Didn't the D-backs have both Jay Bell and Rob Ryan in the Chrome?

  3. Tony is right I saw the D-Backs got Jay Bell in Stadium Club Chrime. Now one team I haven't seen is the Expos (the future Nationals since the years in the break are Pre-2005)

  4. Ack - I meant Nationals/Expos not D-backs...sorry about that! That said, since I'm slightly ahead in opening packs as compared to when they go live on the blog, I can assure you that at least one Expos card is coming :)
