Barry Larkin Collection 249: 1992 Classic - #76

Barry Larkin
Year:  1992
Brand:  Classic
Card number:  76

In 1992, Classic released yet another round of game cards.  This time, the set consisted of 200 cards with a bright blue border.  According to The Trading Card Database there were "only" 125,000 different sets produced - which means this card is not exactly rare!  To be fair, the 1992 set feels a lot more high-end than previous years of Classic - at least in 1992 there was some level of production value to the cards.

While the front of the card is alright (though the photo could have been cropped a bit better to avoid all the wasted space at the top), the back of the card is quite dull.  You get the requisite trivia questions (the main point of the Classic brand of cards) but otherwise the back is basically empty.  Only one year of statistics is almost always disappointing - and in a set that is all about trivia, it seems like a missed opportunity to not include at least five years' worth of statistics!

Glad to see you back on the every day Larkin posting cycle. Pretty soon you will have them all written about. Keep them coming, I love to see Larkin cards that I do not have.
I will e-mail you about some doubles that you may be able to use.

Not quite every day but I do have a few more in the pipeline that will be posted before too long (including a hit for card #250 in the collection)! I'll email you back about what you sent me too!
