The Penultimate Pack of 2001 Stadium Club!

Happy March 1 everyone!

It's 8:00 AM EST which means it must be time for another group break post!  This morning, we open the second-to-last pack of 2001 Topps Stadium Club.  One more jumbo pack to go after this and then our third box of the break will be no more!  This is also the week that I go on spring break from work, so I fully intend on finishing off the group break and mailing everything out by Friday (if all goes well).  In order for that to happen though, I need to keep ripping packs now!

Pack 11:
4.  Chad Kreuter - Dodgers

Another great action shot!  This is an example of why Stadium Club was loved by many collectors (before Topps had to go and try and make it some sort of high-end hybrid set and totally ruin it for the average collector)!
20.  Sammy Sosa - Cubs
21.  Fernando Vina - Cardinals
This card suffered from serious damage since this pack has another Diamond Pearl insert (each Diamond Pearl insert in the box was practically glued to the card next to it in the pack).
32.  Eric Milton - Twins
37.  Shawn Green - Dodgers
52.  Ray Lankford - Cardinals
54.  Tim Salmon - Angels
66.  Rick Ankiel - Cardinals
76.  Mariano Rivera - Yankees
83.  Pat Meares - Pirates
106.  Orlando Hernandez - Yankees
110.  Greg Zaun - Royals

Another fun play at the plate (though this is more of a "play at third from the viewpoint of guys at home plate" card).
118.  Manny Ramirez - Indians
124.  Jeffrey Hammonds - Rockies
144.  Denny Hocking - Twins
148.  Pat Burrell - Phillies
150.  Mike Piazza - Mets
197.  Kris Keller - Tigers
DP3.  Diamond Pearls:  Derek Jeter - Yankees

As you can see, this is another Diamond Pearls card that had some sticking issues (poor Fernando Vina got the brunt of the damage).  Even with the sticking, it's still a nice looking card - and one that I'm sure Petethan will be happy to have (to go along with the other Jeter inserts from the box break)!

Now, there are two people in the world who I know who use the word "penultimate." ... and they are both in the blogosphere!
