PWE Week: Off Hiatus Baseball Cards Representin'

Welcome back to the second (of seven) PWE posts here at Nachos Grande in celebration of PWE Theme Week on the blog!  Today's white envelope of goodness comes courtesy of Tony over at Off Hiatus Baseball Cards.

Note:  For the contest that I ran, this is the second envelope (we currently have a combined zip code score of 67004 through the first two envelopes for those trying to keep score at home)!

Back to the envelope of the night though, this was a surprise envelope that actually arrived back in March - but March is a BUSY time for me at work so it (along with most of my other trade packages) got relegated to the "get to it later" drawer.  Happily, later is now so let's take a look!

First up, a trio of Barry Larkin cards.  Tony sent me Larkin's 1987 Topps rookie plus his second year Topps card and his first Upper Deck card (from 1989).

I always appreciate Larkin cards, even if they already reside in my collection.  In fact, many times I want two copies - one for my Larkin binder and the other for my set binder.

The real prize of the envelope wasn't actually the Larkins though (believe it or not).  No, the real prize was this gorgeous die-cut card of Joe Morgan:

That's a sharp looking (pun intended) card!

Thanks for the great PWE Tony - and apologies for how long it took me to get it posted on the blog!  As always, if anyone else would like to trade please check out my want list and make an offer!

  1. I'm glad you enjoyed the envelope. My only wish is that I had sent it about two month later -- I have a much better handle on what I have in my collection and accumulation now than I did when I sent you that!
