Trying to Decide...

I teach a course called The Mathematics of Games and Gambling and I'm debating about including a lesson next week on McDonald's current Monopoly promotion. The material fits the course well (odds, probabilities, and general sneakiness of casinos/companies) but it requires a lot of work on my part to get the lesson around (and it won't be reusable next year since McDonalds changes their Monopoly promotion just enough every year).

I also worry that it could be construed as a blatant advertisement for the fast food giant, something that I'm not exactly going for!  Decisions, decisions...

...until I decide, I'll keep watching this marathon Giants/Nationals game.

You might be able to save a little bit of work by starting from this post Deadspin republished:

Well, you could use it for several years just to show how companies do it. It doesn't have to be current to stay relevant.
