I never got into the Upper Deck SP brand when it was around. For some reason, the brand simply never appealed to me (probably the price tag had a lot to do with that). Looking at the 1996 version of the brand, I can honestly say that I'm still not impressed... There's way too much foil on the card - and the large SP logo really bugs me (especially since there is no team logo on the front of the card). I sort of like the different photograph that Upper Deck used - it's unique - but the weird background foil job is too distracting for me to properly enjoy this card. Needless to say, I won't be trying to track down my own box of 1996 Upper Deck SP anytime soon!

Pretty good scan of a card notorious for being difficult to scan. Any card that uses foil board of dufex printing moves down the list of desirable cards in my opinion.
