Group Break: 2015 Topps Chrome Box - Part 2

Yesterday, I posted the first quarter of the 2015 Topps Chrome break for our group break.  Today, we finish off the first half of the box!

Pack 7:

Carlos Martinez - Cardinals
Ender Inciarte - Diamondbacks
Todd Frazier - Reds

Jose Bautista - Blue Jays

All four cards were base cards in this pack so I scanned the best photo of the bunch (which happened to be a Red)!  Enjoy.

Pack 8:

R.J. Alvarez - Athletics
Lorenzo Cain - Royals
Paul Konerko - White Sox
Chrome Commencements:  Kennys Vargas - Twins

The Chrome Commencement cards are much rarer than I thought...according to the pack wrapper, they are seeded 1:48 packs or one every other box!  That's a huge hit then for the Twins (and by extension, for Brian who claimed Minnesota).  Congrats Brian!

Pack 9:

Jacoby Ellsbury - Yankees
Manny Machado - Orioles
Michael Wacha - Cardinals
Refractor:  Jose Altuve - Astros

I love the Altuve card!  The colors really pop on that one...a great simple pick up for Julie who claimed Houston.

Pack 10:

Rafael Ynoa - Rockies
Eric Hosmer - Royals
Roughned Odor - Rangers
Refractor:  Jose Fernandez - Marlins

Another pack, another refractor.

Pack 11:

Bryce Harper - Nationals
Brandon Belt - Giants
Steven Souza Jr. - Rays
AR-JPA.  Autograph:  Jose Pirela - Yankees
My scanner hates silver chrome cards - sorry about that.  This was the best I could do.

Our first hit of the box goes to the New York Yankees (and thus to Jordan who has the team in pinstripes).  This is a nice on card autograph of a guy that I've never heard of!  No matter, it's always fun to pull an on card auto so congrats are in order for Jordan!

Pack 12:

Jorge Soler - Cubs
Mitch Moreland - Rangers
Jose Abreu - White Sox
Refractor:  Jacob deGrom - Mets

It's hard to follow up a pack with an autograph, but in terms of star power we did pretty well with the final pack of the first half of the box!  Still another 12 packs (and 1 more hit) to go.  I'll have more soon!

Comments

  1. I think the auto plus the green chrome makes this a Jose Pirela hot box. No?

  2. Very nice! Kennys is a PC guy of mine, so that works out well for me!

  3. Now that I see it, I wonder if one of either the auto or the green Pirela is an image variation...they aren't the same photo after all.

  4. i'm not complaining. If the Yankees play their cards right this could be their starting 2nd baseman next year. Plus, this is still 1 more hit than I thought i'd be getting this whole break.
And to be fair, that is a pretty nice looking auto.

  5. Nice pulls so far. The Carlos Martinez and Wacha will complete my team set.
