Back in 1993, I got a few packs of Select that I absolutely loved. Unfortunately, I never saw another pack of the brand for the years that followed...and so now in 2016 I have basically no attachment to the vast majority of the Select brands. Truth be told, I'm not sure how anyone could love the 1997 edition of Select. The front design is much too boxy (and so much pointless foil) while the backside of the card has statistics listed vertically, a terrible idea if there was ever one. I'm happy to have the card in my Barry Larkin Collection but I'll never seek out any non-Larkin cards from the set!
