Barry Larkin
Year: 2001
Brand: Leaf Rookies and Stars
Card number: 73
The early 2000s produced a number of interesting sets, but unfortunately, that was also the era for a ton of totally forgettable sets. In this case, I'd put the 2001 Leaf Rookies and Stars set in the category of totally forgettable.
Sure, the design on the front isn't terrible (though I hate the lower case font for Larkin's first name). The back of the card is also not awful, but that's about as nice as I can be. After all, you can barely read the top line of the little bio.
By the way, Larkin's base card was a common - but if you think short prints are bad nowadays, take a look at what Leaf/Donruss did to this set. Like I said, some sets are better to forget.
