Barry Larkin
Year: 1989
Brand: Sportflics
Card number: 136
Somehow, someway, this 1989 Sportflics Larkin card eluded me until only just recently. It's amazing how a relatively common card from an overproduced "junk wax" era still somehow ended up being so difficult to acquire! Perhaps even more interesting (at least to me), is that I now only own 22 of the 36 1989 Barry Larkin cards produced (or at least that I am aware of being produced). Here's the full list of 1989 Larkin cards, along with whether or not I currently own each card.
Pretty amazing, isn't it? Even more amazing, in terms of percentages I own 61.11% of the different 1989 Barry Larkin cards. That percentage is the highest single year percentage for ANY year (other than 1986 for which I own the only Larkin card that I am aware of that was produced that year, 1987 for which I own 76.47% (13 out of 17 cards, and 1993 for which I own 62.82% of the cards).
If nothing else, it goes to show that even if you have only "junk wax" Larkin cards, there's a decent chance that I still might need them!

Gotta say... that's one heck of a card back. Sure... I love full statistics, but when card backs look this good... I'll make an exception.
