The 2002 Donruss Originals set focused on "even numbered" years of Donruss' old designs spanning 1982 - 1988 but featuring only current players. With four different designs used in the base set, it's a sort of weird mashup that must not have garnered much attraction or attention from collectors because Donruss didn't bother with their planned sequel featuring "odd numbered" years of Donruss history for the next set.
Another strange thing about the set is that the same players were featured over and over. In Barry Larkin's case, he has the following cards in the set:

That's fourteen (14!) different Barry Larkin cards to track down from a single set! Insane numbers really, especially when you consider that the aqueous parallels are quite rare (seeded roughly one per box from what I can tell). As of the time of this post, I own exactly two of the cards from this set. The one you see above and the second card which I'll probably show off in my next Barry Larkin Collection post.
