Barry Larkin
Year: 2002
Brand: Topps 206
Card number: 372
Barry was featured in Series 3 of the 2002 Topps 206 set (which, confusingly, was actually released in 2013 hence the small print at the bottom of the card). In addition to the base card shown above, Barry has a few mini parallels from the set: Polar Bear, Uzit, and Sweet Caporal. The Sweet Caporal minis have three versions: black, blue, and red backs. Finally, Larkin was also featured in the relic set (he has a jersey card available which I happen to own and showed off many posts ago)! If all of that sounds confusing to you, you are correct! This is a confusing set full of partial parallels of various mini backs...the only good news for me as a Larkin collector is that the Barry wasn't included in any of the super rare partial mini parallels.
As for today's card itself, it's perfectly fine I guess though I think Topps has done a lot better with other "retro" sets since 2002. This set is kind of a cross between Bowman Heritage and Gypsy Queen...and I don't think that's exactly a mash-up that most collectors are clamoring for (which probably explains why the brand is now extinct as a current release set)!
