Barry Larkin
Year: 2003
Brand: Flair
Card number: 11
Despite a somewhat pedestrian card design, I have to admit that I kind of like the 2003 edition of Flair quite a bit. There's enough team colors to make the cards pop and I like the simple yet elegant front photograph. In fact, other than the vertical text (which I don't ever like), the card front is quite nice! The backside of the card is a bit dull (only five years' worth of statistics and too much white space).
In addition to the regular base card, there are two other parallel versions that exist for Barry's 2003 card. The first is a Row 1 parallel (numbered out of 150) and the second is a Row 2 parallel (numbered out of only 25). The set also has a number of quite nice relics in it but unfortunately (or fortunately, depending on how you look at things), Barry wasn't included in any of the relic sets.
