Barry Larkin
Year: 2003
Brand: Fleer Double Header
Card number: 11
The Fleer Double Header set is probably best known for the portion of the set with "flip" cards (cards that feature a fold down flap and a pair of different players). However, cards #1 - 180 are all of the "standard" baseball card design (albeit a bit smaller in size). I kind of like the artistic look of the card fronts and the back of the card is nice enough as well. In all actuality, I like the Double Header set quite a bit, even the gimmicky flip cards are kind of cool in their own right. For what it's worth, Barry is featured in card #247/248 where he is paired with Ken Griffey, Jr. As of the time of this post, that flip card is not in my collection but it is definitely a card I ought to try and track down soon!
In addition to the flip card, Larkin was also featured in the Flip Card Game-Used set (his relic card has a regular version and a gold parallel numbered out of 100). I don't own either version of his relic card either, at least not yet!
