The 2004 Donruss Classics set definitely went for a tradition, no-nonsense set design.  Normally I'm not a huge fan of an all gray (or maybe silver) design but for the 2004 Donruss Classics set, I have to admit that I think the design looks both sharp and classy.  It's a simple thing but even the write-up on the backside is nice (though I always lament the loss of full career statistics I recognize that not every set needs a full card back full of numbers)!

In addition to the base card, there are three parallels to track down:  Tributes Red (#/100), Tributes Green (#/50), and Tributes Platinum (#/1).  I don't own any of the parallels yet.  And, speaking of cards that I don't own Barry is also featured in the autograph set. He has a Red Significant Signature, a Green Significant Signature, and a Platinum Significant Signature to find from the set.  Unfortunately, I don't own any of those cards though I imagine they'd look pretty nice with the set design!
