Hemorrhaging Cards? Card Hemorrhage has a Remedy for That.

A couple of weeks ago, Jay (from Card Hemorrhage) hosted a "Free Card Friday."  The gist of the giveaway was simple - look through his available cards and then claim any that catch your eye.  I've seen a number of people do similar giveaways and, if I'm being honest, most of the time I don't see anything that particularly catches my eye.  This time, however, there was one card that I knew I wanted as soon as I saw it:

That's a 1998 Upper Deck card of the Kid - and as someone who semi-collects all things related to Ken Griffey, Jr., I knew this one had an immediate home in my collection.  I'll (probably) never be as big of a Ken Griffey, Jr. collector as I am a Barry Larkin collector but Griffey is definitely player #2 in my collection (both in terms of quality and quantity of cards)!   The best part for me was that this particular card is new to my Griffey collection - so many thanks go out to Jay!

My non-Larkin personal collections of various players all reside on a bookshelf in precarious stacks.  Griffey's stack is the largest by a healthy margin but any guesses on who is #2 (in terms of stack size)?
