I'm still going through the various 1990 Star Gold Barry Larkins - this is the fifth (of nine) in this particular set. If you want to see the previous card, I showed card #94 in the set here.
Turning our attention to today's card, we get the second half of Larkin's 1989 information. The year 1989 was a good year for Larkin in most ways but he did miss seven weeks of the season while on the disabled list. Otherwise, Larkin had a banner year at the plate - especially against lefthanded pitchers!
Like most of the Star Gold cards, this one offers up a nice bit of information on the back to go along with a no-frills (but decent) front card design. This isn't the best or most interesting photograph in the set but I do like that you can clearly make out the word "Larkin" in its entirety on the back of Barry's jersey. I also enjoy the peek into the dugout though I can't for sure make out who the Reds are playing in this particular photograph.
