Using Sportlots to Complete Set #17 in 2022!

Another day, another Sportlots package in the mailbox!  Today's envelope comes courtesy of user WESTLAKE.  I spent quite a bit of time surfing around Sportlots looking for cards to complete some of my sets and as luck would have it, WESTLAKE did have the final card that I needed for one of my set builds:

That's a 2013 Topps Gypsy Queen White Paper Framed parallel and with the Bench in hand that set is officially my 17th completed set in 2022!  Kind of interesting that the last card that I needed was a Red...there was a time when that never happened back when people were sending "team care packages" all over the place on the blogs (inevitably a card like that Bench parallel would find its way into one of those packages headed to me).  Unfortunately, blog trading has all but dried up lately and so I'm left with trading over on TCDB or buying cards from sites like Sportlots.  On the bright side, at least there are still good options remaining for us set collectors!

In addition to the one completed set, I was also able to make some more progress towards a couple of other set builds including the 1999 Pacific Team Checklists insert set.

My only complaint here is that the seller marked both of the cards as NM and yet you can see terrible chipping all over that Manny Ramirez checklist (the back might even be worse in terms of chipping).  What's even more of a shame is that the Manny card was the most expensive card in this particular purchase!

Finally, we end with a few more Stadium Club cards from the 2000 set.  

I'm getting closer and closer to completing this set as well - obviously getting three of the short prints in one purchase is certainly helpful towards my set collection goals!

At this point, I'm getting close to being done with all of my Sportlots purchases.  I think there are still a couple more envelopes to get through but those will have to continue to wait until a future day!
