We've made it to Sunday and with Sunday comes the end of my 198 Topps Gold Label Theme Week. I hope you've all enjoyed this romp down memory lane as I've ripped through my box of Gold Label. If nothing else, I know that I've enjoyed myself! That all said, we still have the final four packs to open so let's get to it!
Pack 21:
11. Roberto Alomar
14. Tony Gwynn
62. Curt Schilling
Three base cards but I'm not complaining as I think I'm going to need all of those since I've decided that it'd be fun to build the full 1998 Topps Gold Label set (the Class 1 version at the least).
Pack 22:
27. Chipper Jones
54. Raul Mondesi
72. Larry Walker
Another three base cards, not a lot to say about this trio (though pulling the Chipper Jones here does mean there's one less semi-tricky card to trade for which is good for me).
Pack 23:
41. Mariano Rivera
42. Mo Vaughn
45. Pedro Martinez
An AL East heavy pack if I ever saw one! Nothing but Yankees and Red Sox in that pack.
Pack 24:
26. Sandy Alomar
51. Ellis Burks
11. Roberto Alomar (Class 2)
Our final pack yielded one more parallel - and it happened to be our second Roberto Alomar card of the post!
Well, that does it for my box of 1998 Topps Gold Label. It was definitely a fun rip - and spreading the box out over several days helped to prolong the fun and enjoyment (especially since there are only three cards per pack). It's been awhile since I've scanned every single card that's come out of a box of cards!
Thanks for joining me throughout my latest theme week. I have a feeling this won't be the last you'll see of '98 Gold Label on the blog (I've added the cards that I'm missing from the set to my want list already).

I think that will always be a nice looking set to look through once it is finished. The Gold Label cards are nice.
ReplyDeleteThanks for showing off the cards! Looking forward to seeing the complete set one day!
