TCDB Weekly Roundup: Jumping Back into Trading!

After a couple of rather quiet weeks on the TCDB trading front, I'm back this week with some actual trades!  We'll start with the package that probably made the longest journey.  User Bigdaddymac25 sent the package from Wisconsin back in early November.  From there, for reasons that I cannot explain the package ended up in Hawaii (according to the tracking) before eventually returning back the the mainland and crossing the country to where I live in Pennsylvania.  I'll admit, when I saw the tracking said the package was in Hawaii I didn't feel particularly confident that I'd end up with the cards in hand ever but this story has a happy ending because the cards did show up here!

A good thing too because that's the 1988 Topps Sticker that I needed to complete my run of '88 Topps Sticker Larkin cards!  To my knowledge, there are four different sticker variations that feature Barry and this was the final one that I needed to track down.  The other card that I received in the trade was a giant Topps Super Chrome card from 1998.  This is actually the refractor parallel (I already owned the non-refractor version).

Overall, it was a long ride for the package of cards but all ended well!

The other trade that I completed in the past week was with user jcrimarco.

It was nice to make a trade that helped out with my various set builds!  I'm still plugging away at the 1998 Topps Gold Label base set (Class 1 version only).  I'm closing in on finishing off the set now, here's all that I still need:

1998 Topps Gold Label Wants:
Base (Class 1):  3, 9, 17, 21, 23, 29, 32, 44, 66, 69, 75, 76, 77, 80, 93, 98, 99

It's good to get back to trading on TCDB.  I'm hoping I'll be doing a lot more trading in the near future as people start to add in their 2022 Allen & Ginter trade bait - I'm still looking for tons of mini inserts plus most of the Barry Larkin parallels and hits!

  1. That was some journey! Given how much trouble the USPS continues to have, I'm a bit surprised that you even ended up getting it.
