2022 Topps Allen & Ginter: Box 7 Recap (The One with Another Full-Sized Autograph (seeded 1:893 packs)!)

Another day, another box of 2022 Topps Allen & Ginter to show off!  For the first time in my case, my box topper was something other than a basic cabinet card.  In this case, it was an N43 of Ronald Acuna, Jr.

Not a bad way to start a box - I definitely prefer the N43 cards to the cabinet cards though as I've said a bunch of times previously, this particular year's cabinet cards are much better than usual!

As far as the mini inserts go, I found the usual six including three different Inside the Park minis.

I didn't realize until looking at the checklist that the Inside the Park mini set consists of 32 different cards.  Kind of a strange number of cards for a set, especially considering the fact that there are 63 National Parks in the United States!

Moving on to the hits, I found a pair of relics once again:

The Yelich marks my second framed relic of the case thus far.  Seeded 1:65 packs, the framed relics are fairly tough pulls this year!

And now, my third hit of the box was my fourth autograph in a row and my second full-sized autograph of the case!

The full-sized autos are seeded a staggering 1 in 893 packs so I've crushed the odds on those with this case.  The only bummer here is the card damage on the bottom of the autograph - you can clearly see it in the scan above.  That being said, it's still a cool card to pull!

This case started poorly with the first box missing a hit but since then things have definitely improved more and more.  Now that we are into the second half of the case, I can't wait to see what else we uncover!

  1. I thought it might have been a play on the "baseball terms in real life" theme with the inserts. But there are 30 ballparks, not 32, so not sure why they made that many...

  2. Cool autograph and I'm liking the framed relics more and more.

  3. GREAT autograph pull. She was one of my favorite TTM returns this year. And I really wish that the mini insert sets were in multiples of 5 so they could fit in sheets nicely. I['m going to have to look for some of the park cards.

  5. Congratulations on beating the odds with that Balkovec auto. I'm sure Topps will replace it, right? I know they replaced damaged cards back in the day.
