There isn't a much better feeling in card collecting than completing a set which means today I'm feeling might good! That's right, today I finished off another set - this time going all the way back to 2009 for a set that I've been working since then: 2009 Topps Allen & Ginter Creatures of Legend, Myth, & Terror.
The final card that I needed for this tough-to-complete set was that of Chupacabra - and now the last creature on the checklist is mine, mine, mine!

Definitely happy to get this fun set completed at long last, I'm a huge fan of the "odd" or "strange" inserts in Allen & Ginter and for my money this is one of the best mini sets in all of A&G (even if the results of my Allen & Ginter Mini Card Bracket Challenge didn't quite agree with my personal feelings regarding the Creatures of Legend, Myth, & Terror set)!
I suppose I should return to do another Mini Bracket Challenge in a few years - after all, Topps hasn't stopped producing mini sets in Ginter sets! For those who either forgot (or maybe missed the tournament in its entirety, here are the final results from back then):
Yep, definitely going to have to redo that in the next year or two!
Oh man, I'm pretty sure I have that Chupacabra card.. didn't realize it's in demand. I gotta get my Ginter stuff into TCDB. Congrats on finishing the set!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on completing this set. I personally wish there were more challenging (tougher odds) insert set builds like these and some of the ones from the 90's. I know if I completed something like this one... it'd feel way more satisfying than building one of those one per pack insert sets that Topps sometimes produces these days.
