Barry Larkin
Year: 1995
Brand: SP Championship Series
Card number: 36
Parallel set: Die-cut
The 1995 SP Championship Series was a retail-only set that was designed to go along with Upper Deck's much more successful SP hobby set. Within the SP Championship Series set, was a one-per-pack parallel simply known as die-cut cards (which is what you see above). The die-cut effect works well enough and it would be an obvious parallel whenever you opened up a pack so I guess I'll call it a success on that front.
As for this particular card, if you ignore the bits that are cut off I've already discussed Larkin's base card in an earlier entry of my ongoing Barry Larkin Collection series of posts. For those that don't feel like clicking back, I can summarize my thoughts by saying "I like it a lot." It's a great front photo coupled with an interesting back blurb. Good stuff all around, a retail set done right!

Awesome action shot. Wish it was zoomed out a tad bit more... but regardless it shows off Larkin's ability to jump.
